What is a Virtual Lunar Cacao Ceremony?

A Virtual Lunar Cacao Ceremony is a gathering held on ZOOM and led by Jean Kathryn Carlson, master alchemist and ritualist.

The ceremony is designed to honor, invite and invoke the medicine wisdom of cacao for the purpose of intentionally tuning in and connecting to our deepest truth.

You will connect with the essence of cacao, an ancient plant medicine, with yourself and with your fellow participants. You will receive the inspiration that comes from within as you sit with Mamá Cacao, as I lovingly refer to her.

Intentional Gatherings

Full Moons and New Moons are the context for these intentional gatherings. Each lunation is unique and brings a focus to our time together. As your ceremonialist, I will offer these themes for consideration in the opening ritual.

When are the ceremonies?

Cacao Ceremonies are held twice a month at Saturday mornings. Register to select the date and time that works best for you.

What is Ceremonial Cacao? How is it different from the cacao you buy in a store?

Cacao is the basis for all of the chocolate products. These products are heavily processed so that the elemental benefits of raw, ceremonial cacao are lost in the process. Even the raw cacao has lost many of the benefits of ceremonial cacao.

Ceremonial Cacao refers to a premium grade, pure cacao that is ethically sourced from small family farms. It is minimally processed and crafted specifically for ceremony. Ceremonial cacao is loved and prayed over every step of the way. Those who prepare ceremonial cacao for the market have a deep reverence for the plant. When you register for a ceremony, you will receive links to sources of cacao that have a reputation for being pure and ethical.

Where are the Ceremonies held?

We meet over Zoom. My recommendation is to be in a quiet, comfortable place.
